Deep Sea Fishing
The Capt. John is the only deep sea party boat in Galveston licensed to carry over 49 passengers built since 1974.

The Capt. John is a 75 foot long by 27 foot wide all aluminum catamaran. It is Galveston's fastest and most modern party boat. Its cruising speed is around 22 knots (25 mph) when fully loaded. The extended operating range available on day trips, with its great speed, will enable the Capt. John to fish additional areas that are not presently accessible. Day trips will take up to 83 fishermen offshore, while extended length trips of 36 hours to 60 hours will be able to accommodate up to 40. Bunks for the 40 fishermen make these overnight trips a comfortable reality.

The Capt. John was built by GEO Shipyard in New Iberia, Louisiana, and was designed by Schuller & Allan, Inc., Houston, using state of the art catamaran hull design technology to ensure comfort and safety. Two seven hundred horsepower turbo-diesel engines by Lugger are the power plants driving the Capt. John. Two 33 kilowatt Northern Lights generators supply the electrical power. For night fishing, the Capt. Johnhas numerous mid-level outside lights, not to light the decks - the standard deck lights take care of that, but to attract baitfish into the water around the boat, then they will attract the tuna, etc. The cabin has dual air conditioners, insuring a comfortable atmosphere even on the hottest days. The upper deck, with its bench seating, provides an area for resting and sightseeing. A full service, dual microwave snack bar is located inside the cabin. A full electronics package for your safety and to aid the Captain to locate the fishing spots includes two radars, two bottom sonar machines, three radios, global positioning system and a weather fax for the latest weather updates, all supplied by Dorsey Electronics in South Houston. These items, along with the required structural changes, enables the Capt. John to be Coast Guard rated for a maximum range of 200 nautical miles offshore. Each fishing spot also has its own rod holder, and convenient bait trays are around the inside perimeter of the lower rail. Fish cooler boxes, built into the outside bench seating, assist in keeping your catch fresh. The boat's supplied tackle is Shimano TLD-25 lever drag reels, spooled with 80 lb. mono, mounted on custom built 6 ft. rods from Islander's Custom Tackle in Galveston... first class tackle to match the Capt. John.

The Capt. John is a beautiful, efficient fishing machine we are all going to enjoy for many years.

Bay and Jetty Fishing
The Texsun II, located in Galveston, Texas makes 4-hour bay & jetty fishing trips, and was designed with your comfort and safety in mind. The 70-foot all-aluminum vessel carries the highest Coast Guard Rating and is powered by twin 12V71 G.M. Diesels.

The cabin, which is centrally air conditioned, contains seats to accommodate 51 passengers and a complete snack bar. The two modern restrooms are clean and spacious.

Greg Moliere8/26/2008 3:32:00 PMI have been fishing with Williams Party Boats for the last 14 years. They're the BEST! It doesn't matter if you're going on your 1st trip ever or your 100th, fish will be caught! You never know, the fish you catch could end up being a new state or even world record! Every experience brings back different memories that you will remember for a lifetime. The Captain and Crew aboard are always professional and will help you out to make your trip as enjoyable as possible. Don't forget to bring extra money if you want to buy sardines as bait, food, drinks and for the deckhands - they work hard for tips! For first timers, I recommend a 4-12 hour trip! If you want a true stamina tester, try a 36 hour Tuna trip!
phil neely7/22/2008 9:16:00 AMtrip was on 20 july 2008. fishing was great but deck hands were slow to no help in landing fish or fix tangled lines. got to troll through feeding fish and half the boat hooked redfish all in excess of 30-40 pounds but we all had to release due to federal laws. real professionals and courteous people !!! highly reccommend to anyone !!!!
carl7/7/2008 4:48:00 PMwe went as a birthday present for me and i will defently be back. caught limits of red snapper, lane snaper, vermillion snapper, spadefish, and triggerfish. The gear was not very good, so i would bring your own,but the bait they provided (squid) worked very well. Jason and Ben were are deckhands and both were very good. Are caption was Tony Langston and he did a geat job of putting us on fish.
laura6/13/2008 12:23:00 PMWe use williams party boats every time we go out.I love how helpful and nice the deckhands are.Sometimes we do not catch fish BUT that is just the way fishing goes, just like hunting! We always have a good time and so do our children. We will for sure be back!Hope to see you soon. Thanks Williams party boats.
preston6/4/2008 8:51:00 AMI guess we had a new captain cause he didnt know what he was doing. We spent most of the day driving around from spot to spot. Then when we finally started catching fish he would make us reel our poles up and then we would drive around some more. There were several people on the boat that didnt even catch fish. Everybody was mad and venting their frustration to the poor deckhands. There was 4 in our party and we brought back a total of 6 fish. All in all...I was EXTREMELY disappointed with our deep sea fishing trip on the Capt John. I suggest saving your money and just go to a nice seafood restaurant. I never leave reviews on the internet, but I had to let other people know what a joke the Capt John deep sea fishing boat was.
