Troy & Paat Bryant9/26/2008 6:19:00 PMFor the past 6 years, we come to the Victorian Condos and stay 7-9 days. We celebrate a Birthday and our Anniversary there. We just love it. Check in is always a breeze, we get the same condo everytime #6302, and it is always perfect. We feel very at home and the staff is always great. We weren't able to make our yearly trip this year due to illness, but we are looking forward to next year and letting Galveston get back to normal since Ike. The Victorian is our home away from home and we wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else. Thanks for all the good times. Troy & Paat Bryant, Fort Worth, TX.
Ambre Riley9/24/2008 1:42:00 PMMy family rented #9206 from a private owner and the condo was lovely, great view of the pool and the gulf. Extremely clean and the owner went over and above to make the place cozey and comfortable. Highly recommend go to www.vacationrentals.com listing #9825
L H8/5/2008 8:46:00 AMCheck in was fast and no problems. Room 9104 was clean, the fridge did not cool properly but everything else was in good working condition. The grounds are kept nice, both pools were clean with the exception of a little bit of sand from the beach that was tracked in that morning. Asked for additional towels one morning and they were promptly brought to us by a very friendly staff member. I love how the area is air conditioned while you wait for the elevator - good job ! We will be back.
TC7/24/2008 5:01:00 PMTook forever to check in. Front dest personnel does not know what they are doing. Charge our room to someone else's card. The furniture in the rooms need to be updated very old and worn. We had ants in the sink with we reported no one showed up to check it out. Only clean rooms every three days, but suppose to change out towels and empty trash. They did not come we had to call the front desk to get someone to bring fresh towels and trash bag. Do not stay here.
Sommerlatte7/16/2008 1:04:00 PMJust left here and after being promised a 4:00pm. check in by the attending desk clerk, we were not able to get into our room until almost 5:00pm. The lobby was filled with people waiting. Our room did not have a working phone and maintenance did come get it, but never brought a new one. Pool was dirty and people were drinking beer in the pool and smoking around the pool. Elevators are very hot and no cool air in the room waiting for the elevators. Beds are in bad shape and need to be replaced. Bunk beds and ladder are rickety and make a lot of noise. TV remote did not work either. Was very excited to stay here, but was disappointed in the upkeeping. Hope it improves. We did feel safe and that was important for our kids.
Mallorie White6/12/2008 8:50:00 AMWe just left where we spent Saturday-Saturday. WE LOVED OUR STAY!!!!!! We had a great stay. The front office was very polite, and helped with our check-in, every question we had, and really made our stay a really nice one. We had no problem with our room all doors locked, and it was very friendly, and we truly felt safe at night. We have stayed in Galveston, and have gotten broke into, but never were we affraid while we satyed here. I truly recommend this place.
Robert W Dugie5/23/2008 5:54:00 PMDuring a stay there this week, our door would not lock when leaving for our conference on the second morning. We reported the problem to the front desk who stated it would be taken care of. 8 hours later our room was still open. Fortunately our personal stuff was still there. The front desk had no excuses, and when asked to speak to someone in charge, I was transferred to the managers voice mail. I guess no one wanted to explain why customer sevice was not a priority. When I checked out the next morning, still nothing was said. The 5 rooms my company reserved will be elsewhere next year.
james chapman4/27/2008 9:37:00 PMJust left there where we had a reunion. It's dirty,ie used bar of soap in shower, toenail clippings in chair, dirt and hair in cupboards.
