Marcy (owner) is awesome!!! She was very hospitable and did everything in her power to make our stay enjoyable. The house is awesome and very quiet. The breakfast was outstanding. I basically grew up there, so it is like my second home! Marcy makes you feel like it is your home for the weekend and goes above and beyond to make sure that not only your visit to the inn is great, but Galveston as well. It is the Best inn to stay at with History and close to alot of attractions to walk to and gives you a since of calmness and feeling that you are on vacation!! I highly recommand the Victorian Inn Bed and Breakfast!! | | Henry Kana | 10/16/2008 5:15:00 PM | I have stayed at the Victorian Inn a couple of times. This historic home is romatic paradise, if only the walls could speak. Marcy Hansen has always been a wonderful and charming host. Her fresh baked cookies are to die for, simply wonderful.
Henry | | Sandy | 10/16/2008 9:34:00 AM | The Victorian n is a charming and beautiful B&B. The Hostess Marcy was wonderfully accomodating and sweet. She made us feel right at home only better. Our rooms were beautifully decorated and immaculate. And what a treat it was to feed the bunnies and see the doves and the butterfly garden. I highly reccommendd this wonderful historic home to anyone looking for a romanic retreat or just a break from it all. | | Diane | 10/15/2008 6:46:00 PM | We stayed in this magnificant B&B just recently & had a lovely experience! The Inn is actually a 10,000 sq ft mansion built in 1899. The Inn-keeper, Marcy, greeted us and asked us if we would like a historical tour of the house. We took her up on the offer and were so glad. She is the most gracious hostess! The rooms are ALL spacious. Everything was clean and fresh. The grounds are peaceful to walk. There is even a library if you like reading. There is even a 24hr butler's pantry with free drinks and snacks. The breakfast was a "FULL" breakfast with soft music and candles, not one of those continental breakfasts. We will certainly come back when we have the time and we highly recommend the B&B. What a find!!!!!! | | Dan Lutz | 10/15/2008 6:36:00 PM | I've stayed at this bed and breakfest many times, and always had a great time every time.Marcy is very good at what she does. I would recommend this bed and breakfest to anyone. | | D. B. Burnett | 10/15/2008 5:15:00 PM | My wife and I have been coming to the Victorian Inn for over 10 years. We have always been treated as if we were royalty. I absolutely love this regal mansion and find harmonic convergance on that great side gallery!
Knowing the innkeper and her determination, this grand victorian lady will recover from Ike and will be greater than ever.
DBB | | Jesse | 10/15/2008 4:56:00 PM | I discovered The Victorian during Bike Rally 3 years ago. I found Marcy(the owner) a true angel! To be at Bike Rally and wake up to her delicious Eggs Benedict, toast and orange marmalade,Wow! What a rough Biker life!! There is so much history in her B&B it's outstanding. From vintage furniture, paintings to the incredible architecture of her B&B and the history of the home itself. She's geographically close to the Strand, it's within walking distance, sure beats having to drive after a night of enjoying the Strand! She has a top-notch B&B and you would do well to stay there and enjoy the ambiance, I'll guarantee you'll be back again! Highly recommend The Victorian!! | | marcy hanson | 10/15/2008 4:16:00 PM | Angel must have us confused with the Victorian Condo hotel, we always do our best, in every way to make sure our guests have the best experience possible! | | Angel | 9/4/2008 2:52:00 PM | My husband and I chose this bed and breakfast weeks in advance and made reservations. The day of our reservation 2 hours before we were going to check in the owner called and canceled on us. She had something come up and did not even bother to help us find another place to stay on the island. The least she could have done was make arrangements for us to stay some place else but she didn't. I would not recommend this place to anyone. |
