Birding 101 Monthly at Moody Gardens
Galveston is home to hundreds of species of birds. Egrets, herons, ducks, hawks and gulls are a few who spend time on the Island. Those interested in learning more about area birds are invited to Moody Gardens for Birding 101. Birding 101 is a series of free classes designed to educate and excite people about the tremendous variety of bird life in the area.

"Sharks in Depth" Daily at Moody Gardens
Sharks In Depth, an exhibit in the Aquarium Pyramid at Moody Gardens, explorers shark fact versus fiction, anatomy and behavior through a series of hands-on activities. Visitors can learn how a shark survives without a swim bladder, how they sense prey through vibrations and smell, what currently threatens shark populations, and more.
